We’re rolling out the welcome mat for our new client, Summit Ministries!
Summit Ministries, headquartered in Colorado Springs, is a faith-first ministry with a national footprint that is shaping and equipping the schools and students they serve with educational materials and learning experiences that build and nurture a solid, actionable, biblical worldview. We’re beyond excited to work with this ministry that has such a profound impact by shaping so many young lives.
Dr. Jeff Myers, Summit’s President, says, “Summit’s a place students go not only to see the bigger picture of what God’s really doing in this world, but to get a sense of where they fit in that big picture. How can they live a bigger story than they’ve ever imagined they would?”
Summit Ministries focuses on educating and training students ages 16-25 (as well as educators) in a biblical worldview. They believe that our nation’s youth don’t always know what they believe and why. Summit’s programs and curriculum were created to be a forum where students can ask tough questions and get biblically-based answers to those questions.
Students like Holly Kuyt, who attended Summit’s Student Conferences program, says, “Before I came to Summit, I was questioning who God was, where He was, what His role still was in my life.” Likewise, Madi Snow, another Summit student, says, “I think it’s so hard to find truth and sort out biblical truth because the world is just so noisy.”
Summit’s flagship program is a two-week student conference for students ages 16-25, running throughout the summer. The Student Conferences program is focused on exploring issues that impact students’ faith, identity and purpose.
Summit connects students and educators together virtually through Summit Basecamp, their live Simulcast about big issues facing students today (e.g., moral decision making, promoting life, Generation Z, just to name a few recent topics). They also offer a semester-long study program for college students and regularly hold local open forums to answer student questions.
Beyond just connecting students and educators through their programs, Summit provides biblical worldview curriculum and resources for schools and churches. Books such as Understanding the Times compare the tenets of the Christian worldview with five competing worldviews: Islam, Secularism, Marxism, New Spirituality and Postmodernism.
As Summit Ministries’ fundraising partner, BDI will focus on helping them expand their outreach through multiple channels – including strategic fundraising planning and execution, direct response production, project management and data services.
Welcome to the BDI family, Summit Ministries! We’re so excited to partner with you on this amazing work that’s changing the trajectory of so many young lives.
