Press Releases DO Make a Difference

Check out the latest video in my “Insider Tip” series!

From Shellie Speer, Senior VP, BDI Academy

You know that social and digital channels are a great way to reach target audiences and help promote campaigns – all while building awareness. But don’t bury press releases under the bottom of the heap when it comes to promoting your organization!

Press releases are still important and beneficial to your marketing strategy, and they offer an easy way to build awareness and engagement in your community.

As I have said many times, consistency lends credibility. Both the media and consumers view press releases as a trusted source of data and information.* Regularly distributing up-to-date and accurate press releases allows you to build credibility with your local community and, most importantly, with your donors.

In addition, a well written press release can control and drive the narrative around your brand – building a positive public perception and strengthening your reputation.

To help you fully realize the impact a strong press release can make for your organization, watch my newest “Insider Tip” video now! These helpful videos cover some of my most popular training and consulting sessions: Direct Mail. Major Donors. Planned Giving. Volunteers. PR and media relations. And more!

Each is just a few minutes long, but they’re packed full of ideas you can implement at your organization. And every one comes with a free strategy guide you can download and print to gain even more insights on the topic.
