An Awareness Campaign that helped a hidden crisis get SEEN

Evansville Rescue Mission (ERM) needed to raise the final $1 million to build the city’s first Center for Women & Children and bring visibility to the growing number of women and children experiencing homelessness. And they needed to do it during the busy fall fundraising season.

BDI designed the Seen Campaign to spotlight the need and invite the community into the solution. ERM gave new audiences a reason to get involved by pairing bold creative with innovative tactics. While regular fall appeals ran as planned, Seen brought in new energy and engagement. Instead of competing, the efforts worked in tandem — and giving rose overall.

The Seen Campaign sparked a powerful wave of support that continues to build. New community partnerships also emerged, expanding ERM’s impact beyond the awareness campaign.
