Introducing Mike Rogers as BDI’s New President

By: Michael J. Tomlinson, CEO

Nonprofit leaders and agencies alike live in a time where philanthropy as we know it is at a constant evolution. Donor expectations are shifting, new technologies emerging, and more than ever before, nonprofit leaders must embrace a posture of innovation and agility to succeed. At BDI, we see change not as a hurdle but as a catalyst for growth and success.

In my time at BDI, I have personally experienced what it means to work alongside fellow partners for change – BDI’s executive leadership team. After 5+ years serving as BDI’s CEO and President, we are entering an exciting new milestone at the agency. I am grateful to now share these responsibilities with one of my most trusted partners, colleagues, and friends.

Since joining our team in July 2023 as Chief Intelligence Officer, Mike has brought outstanding leadership, insight and a focus on excellent service to our clients and partners. His contributions have already made a significant impact, and we are confident that his new role will help guide BDI into this next chapter.

“I am deeply grateful to the Lord for calling me to serve BDI’s employees and client partners in this new role. The next chapter of BDI’s story will be filled with wonderful opportunities to unleash large amounts of generosity. We desire to empower our Rescue Mission partners to increase their impact and provide life-changing services to even more men, women and families who need them most.” – Mike Rogers

Experience Rooted in Innovation & Impact

Mike brings a vast, 30+ years of experience in developing high-value products, services and teams in industries that are ripe for transformational change. As a recognized leader in AI, machine learning and predictive modeling, he has developed innovative solutions that have changed the way nonprofits today measure and maximize donor engagement. Mike was one of the pioneers behind developing the first generation of what is now one of the most widely used nonprofit marketing automation platforms.

Beyond his professional expertise, what sets Mike apart is his heart for service. He and his wife are passionate about working with organizations in Central America that are investing life-changing resources into some of the world’s most impoverished communities. His heart for service, combined with his passion for operations and innovation, makes him an invaluable leader for BDI’s future. Mike holds a BS in Accounting from Kansas State University and a MS in Business Analytics with a concentration in AI from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

As President, Mike will lead the charge in strengthening our operational expertise and empowering BDI’s teams with a renewed focused on collaboration, adaptability, and serving our clients with a greater level of excellence.

At BDI, we believe the best days are always ahead. As CEO, I am excited to partner with Mike in this new role, working together to drive BDI forward – ensuring continued success for the Rescue Missions we serve.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” – Colossians 3:23-24

Please join me in celebrating Mike Rogers as President of BDI!
