Check out this 2-minute video in our “Insider Tips” series!
From Shellie Speer, Senior VP, BDI Academy
When working with nonprofit clients, I often hear…
“How can I get churches more invested in our organization?”
Historically, Christians have taken on the responsibility of caring for “the least of these,” in response to a strong and unmistakable biblical mandate. Therefore, churches feel blessed – not burdened – by opportunities to serve the poor and hurting.
With your organization’s encouragement, cultivation and sound financial stewardship, local congregations and youth groups can become some of your most dedicated partners. Donors who, in turn, consider your organization an extension of their ministries.
And remember, your primary purpose in cultivating church partnerships is not necessarily to have your organization included in their annual budgets… though that is definitely a great thing! But by keeping church members aware and involved with your work, they may feel called to support your organization financially on an individual basis.
I’ve put together a series of videos called “Insider Tips” that cover some of my most popular training and consulting sessions:
- Direct Mail
- Major Donors
- Planned Giving
- Volunteers
- PR & Media Relations
Each video is just a few minutes long, but is packed with ideas you can implement at your organization. And each one comes with a free strategy guide that offers even more insights on the chosen topic.
